Calaveras Craft Wine Trail

Craft Wine Trail

Have you ever wondered what goes into making your favorite wine? Here’s your opportunity to find out while getting your hands dirty (or purple)!

The Calaveras Craft Wine Trail is the first of its kind. A truly immersive tasting experience that we are kicking off on Saturday, October 27th in the charming town of Murphys, located in the heart of the Sierra Foothills.

Take a journey and discover 5 different Certified Craft Wineries. Taste the grapes, barrel sample, measure brix, partake in some blending, play with some dirt, stir up some freshly fermenting grapes, and practice your bottling skills. Join us on a day-long expedition through small-batch production wine. During this all day event you will be visiting Brice Station, Val du Vino, Frogs Tooth, Hovey and Milliaire Winery.

Wear play clothes, because this isn’t your average casual sip in a tasting room! Join us in Calaveras Wine Country for a day of Wine, Education, and an insider’s glimpse into the process and facilities involved in making great small-batch hand-crafted wines.

Check in between 10:0am – 10:30am at the Wine Information Center located at 202 Main Street in Murphys, where we will have a breakfast reception and your guided itinerary. During your tour you will have the chance to meet wine makers and owners at five different wineries and tasting rooms, ask questions, partake in various activities and tours and hear what goes into making small batch craft wines. Detailed info and Itineraries will be sent out closer to the event but this event starts at 11am and will end around 5pm.
