This month Lindsay Gwin will present the wines of the Loire, also known as “the garden of France”. The evening will provide in-depth information on the history, climate, soils, winemaking and varietals of the region. We will be tasting through classic examples of sparkling and still Loire wines including Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and more. Lindsay Gwin is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. She is currently pursuing her French Wine Scholar title and can’t wait to present on one of her favorite regions in France. Don’t miss this fun and educational evening!
Reservations are required, tickets will be sold at the door. Wines of the World is an integral part of the wine associations educational program. Cost for CWA members is $20 and $25 for non members, unless otherwise noted. We occasionally charge more depending on the topic. Please call the office to verify price per seat. The Historic Murphys Hotel hosts us in the (2nd floor) Mark Twain Ballroom from 5:30 to 7pm.
