“The first time I heard this beautiful lady sing is still a memorable experience. As I listened in awe, I knew I was listening to a voice that possessed the ultimate components in vocal beauty, the qualities of texture, timber and resonance, essential for greatness which she employed exquisitely.

Juni creates moods that run the gambit from sunshine bright and cheerful, to plush, warm and dark. Like all great performers, she can modulate the voice, singing in her complete vocal range effortlessly painting pictures with her voice. She accompanies herself on the guitar with a professional deftness that compliments her totally relaxed performance style.

A crucial element of Juni’s uniqueness includes the gift of superb song writing. Her original compositions can leave you breathless, tickle your funny bone, or tug at your heart strings all in one concert. I know, because I am speaking from personal experience. When Juni sings one of her Celtic ballads, you would swear she was singing of her native land.

Juni Fisher just happens to be one of those rare artists who has it all. It also doesn’t hurt when you discover the delightful truth that this wonderful talent is a great person.” -Jack Hannah, The Sons of the San Joaquin

“With a wide range of jazz styles including Jazz Standards, Straight Ahead Jazz, Blues, Ballads, and Latin Jazz, the trio performs tunes from beautiful ballads to grooving up-tempo swingers including songs from the great American song book, jazz classics and lesser known jazz greats. “The wonderful thing about jazz”, says multi-saxophonist and leader Bob Eisenman, “is that its expressive, inventive and emotive music. As a trio plus vocalist, we’re making a body of great jazz music intimate and accessible. We hope that our music touches our audience at an emotional level as well as being enjoyable to listen to.” – From the Bob Eisenman Jazz Trio Facebook Page

Bob Eisenman Jazz Trio Facebook Page

“From Broadway to Birdland, during a very fertile era when more than 700 big bands were delivering their music around the USA on any one night, Copeland fine-tuned his talents. And with his genius for harmony and his arrangements––custom made for particular performers––he earned the respect of many of the top jazz players and singers of his time,… Henry Mancini, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Horace Silver.

As well as winning a Grammy for The Alan Copeland Singers with his arrangement of “Mission Impossible/Norwegian Wood.” From the early 50’s on, when the silver screen was reconfigured for TV in our living rooms, Copeland was a vital source of creativity for a variety of live programs which all needed new musical scores around the clock….

Now, with a musical career spanning seven decades, Alan “Weaver” Copeland’s natural gifts continue to grow. With his current jazz quartet you can experience the spontaneous process of jazz as you hear familiar songs re-emerging as fresh and viable possibilities.

Moment by moment, Jazz mimics a living system, a positive feedback loop of listening and music-making in real time which results in that thing called Swing. And although you might refrain from dancing on your feet, you will nevertheless dance in your heart because…Now You Hazz Jazz.” – From the Now You Hazz Jazz Website

CONCERT at TWISTED OAK – Front Country @ Twisted Oak Winery
Jun 24 @ 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Twisted Oak Winery is pleased to welcome Front Country to our hilltop in Vallecito on Saturday, June 24th!

An acoustic band born in the land of tech innovation, Front Country was never going to be accepted as an authentic American roots band out of the gate. Cutting their teeth in progressive bluegrass jams in San Francisco’s Mission District and rehearsing in the East Bay, they learned to play roots music their own way, with the tools they had on hand. A mandolinist with a degree in composition and classical guitar. A guitarist trained in rock and world music. A bassist equally versed in jazz and bluegrass. A violinist with technique that could seamlessly hop between honky tonk and electropop. A female lead singer with grit and soul that was also a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. In a wood-paneled country dive bar in the shadow of the San Francisco skyline, Front Country forged a sound hell bent on merging the musical past with the future.

With the release of their debut full-length album Sake of the Sound in 2014, Front Country began the nose-grinding work of making their name as a national touring act. Still based in the San Francisco Bay Area, they would trek the 6,000+ mile circle around the U.S. for months at a time, introducing themselves for the first time to every room that would have them. Thanks to the glow of their contest wins, festivals around the U.S. caught wind and invited them to play for their large audiences, giving Front Country a crucial first break. Old Settlers in Austin, MerleFest in North Carolina, Wintergrass in Seattle, Strawberry in California and Grey Fox in New York, all took a chance on the promising new band and solidified Front Country’s hold on the imagination of progressive-leaning acoustic music fans.

Advance tickets are only $25 and can be purchased right here online. “Northern California’s outlaw music bards bring a reputation for high-energy live shows and an incomparable fusion of bluegrass/old time, southern rock, and old school jam to stages and festivals worldwide. Poor Man’s Whiskey has been growing exponentially in the past 5 years selling out venues across the country such as the legendary Fillmore in SF.This “High-Octane Hootenanny” will certainly delight those interested in a foot-stompin good time. Poor Man’s Whiskey has evolved into a ragged, spontaneous beast pulling from equally deep wells of story-telling originals, expertly crafted covers and zany on-stage shenanigans. PMW has released 6 studio albums and have a stunning repertoire to choose songs from creating a new show every night. In addition to their upbeat original sets Poor Man’s Whiskey have developed special late night “tribute sets” with their original bluegrass/americana twists which include “Dark Side of the Moonshine” (bluegrass interpretation of the classic Pink Floyd album) , “Graceland” (tribute to the classic Paul Simon album),  “Old and In the Way”,  “Tribute to Allman Brothers Band”, and “Tribute to Kate Wolf”.  Crowds of all ages will sing, dance and have a good time!” – From the Poor Man’s Whiskey Website

CONCERT at TWISTED OAK - Pine Leaf Boys @ Twisted Oak Winery | Vallecito | California | United States

Twisted Oak Winery is pleased to welcome Pine Leaf Boys to our hilltop in Vallecito on Saturday, July 8th!

Louisiana’s finest, four-time Grammy-Nominated, world-renown Pine Leaf Boys have made a name for presenting their own inimitable brand of Louisiana music with youthful exuberance. Hailing from the southwest Louisiana, the Pine Leaf Boys, known for their wild shows and thoughtful arrangements, have breathed new life into Louisiana music, reviving ancient songs and bringing them to the bandstand. Being described in the New York Times as, “… the link that connects the young and the old generations,” and, “the best new, energetic, and fun Cajun band in a very long time,” the Pine Leaf Boys play the old fashion dance hall standards while making a priority to bring many of the more obscure songs of past masters into their repertoire and play them with gusto.

The variety and energy they release evolves through their shows, bringing multi-faceted angles to Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco. Their mission is to present the beautiful, powerful music of their ancestors and present the real Cajun music to the world and prove that it is still thriving and full of life. The Pine Leaf Boys have preserved the traditional Cajun sound, while allowing it to breathe and stretch with those who play it.

Advance tickets are only $30 and can be purchased right here online.
