Columbia College Community Education Wine Class: October 12, 19, & 26
“Wine Tasting Global While Staying Local!”
Wine enjoyment has become a popular life style choice and interest in international wines continues to grow. This October, through a combination of lecture and wine tasting, the three week class will explore a number of global grape types, regional differences, and wine maker influences. With an emphasis on popular wine regions from around the world, we’ll have fun with sensory evaluations, current trends, and wines relationship with each country’s foods. Must be 21 years of age to take this class.
Instructor Tom Bender has taught wine and hospitality management related classes at Columbia College for over 35 years. He currently manages an extensive wine department and popular wine bar in Modesto, in additional to making and writing about wine. The class takes place over three Thursday nights, October 12, 19 & 26 from 6:00 – 8:30pm on the college campus. Advance registration is required.
Registration fee is $40.
A material fee due the first night is $35.
